BIO MED HQ
Set within a building once home to Martha Stewart's television cooking studios, the new BioMed headquarters is a 7,500 square foot adaptive reuse fit out that transforms a storied filming space into a modern home for a sports focused biomedical device company. The design embraces the building's industrial bones, 15 foot ceilings with the original exposed steel bar joist structure left fully visible and pairs them with a crisp, light filled contemporary interior. Polished concrete floors run continuously throughout, while floor to ceiling glass partition walls define private offices and conference rooms without sacrificing the openness and natural light that define the space. The program is split evenly across two functions: one half is dedicated to corporate offices, with open workstations, glass walled meeting rooms, and a bright reception and lounge anchored by the company's branding; the other half houses the company's warehousing and assembly operations, with industrial shelving, dedicated assembly tables, and clean, daylit floor space. The result is a headquarters that honors the history and raw architecture of its shell while delivering a polished, functional environment purpose-built for biomedical research, manufacturing, and growth. Completed: 2025 Square Footage: 7,500 Project Type: Adaptive reuse Program Split: 50/50 Corporate office - warehouse assembly Ceiling Height: 15 FT Primary Structure: Steel bar joist
